Barbados Wetlands Trust Protector Anthony Da Silva has been travelling in China, visiting wetland parks and learning firsthand about ecological restoration, water management, conservation and sustainable public access.

These photographs were taken at Shajiabang National Wetland Park in Changshu, Jiangsu Province, where wetland conservation has been integrated with carefully planned visitor experiences and environmental education.

As BWT develops plans for the restoration of the Graeme Hall wetland and the wider Barbados Wetlands Sanctuary Network, we are looking internationally for ideas, expertise and partnerships that can be adapted to Barbados.
